Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of your Pinnit account and the personal data associated with it. Use this URL when a platform (including Meta) asks for Pinnit’s Data Deletion Instructions.

What we delete
After we verify your request, we delete or de-identify:
- Your user account and profile fields we store
- Saved places, notes, and imported Notes content tied to your account
- Friend connections and invites involving your account
- Live-session / presence records for your account
- Shared map-list records you own, where applicable
- Trusted-device records for your account
Step-by-step
- Send an email to hello@pinnitmap.com from the same address registered on your Pinnit account.
- Use the subject line Data Deletion Request.
- Include your account email and, optionally, your display name so we can locate the account.
- We verify ownership (for example by confirming the request originates from the account email) and process the deletion.
- We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days and will email you when done, or if we need more information.
What we may retain
We may retain limited information when required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or prevent fraud and abuse. Retained data is limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
App-level controls
You can remove individual places inside the Pinnit app at any time. Signing out of the app does not delete your account. For full account deletion, use the email process above.
